Grade 9 - Drum Loop Creation

​Students tapping in their rhythms into Garageband.

Grade 9s are trying their hand at creating their own drum loops in Garageband. This is a very advanced project that quickly overwhelmed the students yesterday when I first introduced the project. However, I told the students that we are going to persevere and try our best to create these loops.

It requires some fine tuning in Garageband that most people don't ever attempt. However, this piece of software is quite powerful even if it ships with the Mac. Students will follow the YouTube tutorials that I created in 5 parts (find them listed here).​

In the end, we will have students upload them for other people to download and use for their Garageband projects. Should be fun and interesting!​
