STEPS FOR TODAY!

1) Watch the welcome video above.

2) Have paper ready or print this note for working on. Or! Download this on a table to write on? Your choice

3) Watch the tutorial video on Major Scales below and work through the note.

4) INDEPENDENT LEARNING

Start a practice log - try to practice 10-15 minutes on an instrument of your choice, if you have one at home.

• Choose ANY instrument: Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Ukulele, Toy Xylophone, Other Instrument you may have at home.

• Try to to learn a simple song on this instrument. If you have access to a few instruments but have never picked one of them up, can you attempt to get yourself started?

• Try looking at YouTube. There are a gazillion videos online. Search “How to play guitar” and see what you come up with.

• Where to start?

  • Guitar: Try learning a few chords and/or strumming patterns.

  • Piano: Try learning some chords. Try an easy piano melody. (Search easy piano melodies).

5) Be sure to complete the note reading quiz from Tuesday. Look at Post 3.
