Create a “How To” film

FedEx is a courier company that delivers your parcels and letters… fast! You will be delivering these films FedEx-style.

1 - First, plan out your film by trying to make this storyboard.

Please be sure to make a copy and save that when sharing it back to me.

2 - Film your shots. Remember, you don’t have to film in order. Using your planning, try to get this “how to” film just right.

3 - Using the editor provided in class, Final Cut Pro, you will piece together your film. You must have met the following requirements:

• Film is approx 2 - 3 mins long

• You have a title to your film

• You have a quick credit scene acknowledging all the people who worked on your film. This can be on camera (using paper and pen) or digital text in the video editor.

4 - You will be handing in your videos on the 3rd day.

SCHEDULE

Day 1 - Present the topic and plan your film.

Day 2 - Film your footage. Try your best to get your shots correct.

Day 3 - Edit and Export.

Day 4 - Watch as a class :)

EVALUATION

This project, in the end, will not be worth a lot in your final evaluation. However, here are some things we are looking for?

-Did you share with me the Storyboard as outlined on the project page?

-Did you meet the agreed upon deadline? (This would be important when delivering a final product to a client)

-Did you fall roughly within the goal length?

-Did you do your best to eliminate glaring errors? (We are expecting some errors in this film - it is our first!)

-Did you include all of the necessary components? (Not much required here but…)

-Is the story clear? Can we understand it? Is this landing close to the intended concept of “How to”?

Total 20 marks
