Hamilton The Musical

IMG_4810.jpeg

Due to the COVID19 Crisis and the surrounding cancellations regarding public gatherings, the trip to Hamilton, The Musical is cancelled. This will certainly bring up questions about what is to happen with your ticket.

Please have a look at the questions below to see if they answer any questions you may have.

How much did I pay for tickets again?

The cost of the tickets was $115. This included the $85 seat price for the performance, roughly $25-27 of bus costs and $3-5 for transaction fees.

Will I get my money back for my ticket?

Mirvish, the production company, usually has a No Refund policy on ticket sales. However, these are unprecedented times and with that comes some flexibility.

Mirvish has cancelled performances until June 30, 2020. As a result, they are automatically issuing a credit. We are then able to request a refund. We will be requesting a refund for the tickets.

Therefore, we are currently holding a “Wait and Be Patient” stance on this. Thank you for your patience.

What about the bus cost? Will we get that money back?

The bus has been cancelled at no cost. Therefore, you will be able to receive that money back (probably $25). However, in order to reduce transaction fees, it would be best to wait and see when tickets are refunded and we will provide all available refunds in one transaction.

When will we receive a refund?

Regardless of what amount gets refunded, this is a difficult question to answer. As we know, the situation surrounding COVID 19 changes day by day. As of April 6, it has already been announced that students will not be returning to school until May 4, 2020. (This is subject to a possible extension at that time).

These types of financial transactions require administrative support from our office staff. With schools being closed, there is no access to School Cash Online at this time for administration. We believe this will have to be done by the finance department at the board and we are unsure of that timing at this point.

Should I have any questions, who do I contact?

While we will do our best to communicate any updates to this issue on this page and through our Instagram (@edenhigharts), you may have some questions.
